Table ornament

This table ornament, which is one of a pair, represents a putto holding a greyhound. It was made by the goldsmith Abraham II Drentwett, who acceded to Master status in 1675 and died in 1729. This artist seems to have specialised in this type of table ornament, of which several pairs are recorded.
